MAJOR AREAS OF RESEARCH INTEREST:

Sociocultural study of the meaning of work and its relationship to ideas of occupational safety and religious or spiritual meaning of the land and the environment; American Indian health issues; hyperinsulinemia among Zuni youth; rehabilitation of American Indians with disabilities; Apache families and mental retardation, women and health, medical anthropology.
